repurposed shirt

my first blog! well, i wish it was more exciting. this is just a quick little project that i took care of yesterday. since i have 2 girls, i have to save as many clothes from the first to use on the second as i can. this particular project was to save a shirt. i simply took a very stained t-shirt and cut it into strips. using the strips i was able to create rosettes and sew them on a simple white shirt that only had 2 stains. tutorials for the rosettes are all over the blog world. i also used a little of the pink shirt to reinforce the white. it is on the inside and will help hold those little pretties on.
covering up the stains with the rosettes, i now have a 'new' shirt for baby sister. viola! easy as pie. it turned out really cute!

total cost: $0 - total time: 2 hours
